There are a variety of strategies you could offer to clients to support their writing development. Similar to reading, there are many different components to writing and key academic skill of deficit include:
■ Spelling accuracy
■ Grammar and punctation accuracy
■ Clarity of organization of written expression
It is pivotal that a child’s deficits in writing be identified in terms of their specific area of impairment and that recommendations must be made based on a child’s unique profile of strengths and weaknesses.
