For example, you may have a client that learns more effectively with active, experiential instruction. That is, the use a variety of hands-on activities to reinforce learning and link academic learning to real-world experiences and meaningful activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-a9e2bc33b7692196e922ef72d0d90240\" style=\"color:#1372a9\"><strong>Other Suggestions Include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your client has difficulties generalizing and applying skills, knowledge and concepts to new situations, it will be important to plan for generalization of academic skills and provide them with direct instruction on how, when and where to use specific skills.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide repetition and opportunities to practice discrete skills frequently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Break down lessons and tasks into short, discrete elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prime your client for learning by providing them with access to lesson materials to review ahead of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide your client with a variety of ways to demonstrate their knowledge and competence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It may be beneficial to pair your client with peer mentors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><img
