Math Calculation and Fluency
To support clients math calculation and fluency skills you may want to:
- Emphasize learning strategies for quick calculation and estimation.
- Encourage the use a calculator when exact answers are required for accurate problem-solving.
- Encourage the client to summarize the question before trying to solve to ensure they has not missed important information.
- Encourage the use of visual images and manipulative to help in problem solving.
- Encourage the use of computer games that build math skills.
